Okay, here’s a video discussing the Consumer Protections Congress is debating. A bunch of old presidents, dead and alive, come to Barack in a dream and tell him to grow a pair. Well, Clinton just tries to get with Michelle, but most of the rest of them have some useful advice. It’s really funny, but it also makes a few valid points. So good for them.
What you’re saying is, I should take on this mess that you all created? Take on the banks and their trillions of dollars?” Obama says. “How’s this helpful?”
“It’s a bitch. It’s a bitch,” says Reagan. “But as George Washington once said to John Adams: ‘Tag. You’re it.’”

Okay, so I’m really conflicted on this. On the one hand, a guy fighting for fiscal responsibility can’t be all evil. Even if it means some people lose their handouts, these guys are supposed to do their job looking towards long-term goals, not short-term polls. So I’ll throw out several thoughts as organized as I can. Read more »

Okay, so this is completely off-topic. Normally I stay on-topic and just discuss politics and such. But it’s also completely awesome beyond compare. Check out this killer sidewalk art. I just had to share.

Here are the broad outlines for the Schumer, Van Hollen Bill designed to push back on the Citizens United decision. Even if you think a Constitutional Amendment or impeaching some of SCOTUS is important, that’ll all take a lot of time. These laws could hold back the worst of Corporations until such an Amendment could be passed. Read more »

There is a legend about a man who is bitten by a monster. That monster is half man, half wolf, and he is cursed. He started life as a normal man, but he was bitten and infected with evil. Whence the moon grows full, the man dies and the beast hunts. Now, whosoever he bites, but doesn’t kill, they themselves become cursed. This beast, this monster, is unkillable. No man strong enough, no one fast enough, no blade sharp enough. There is but a single weapon on the surface of the earth that can bare this beast to the ground and leave him beast no more. That is a silver bullet. Read more »

I’m starting a new book today. A book written by Neal Boortz, Congressman John Linder and Rob Woodall titled “FairTax: The Truth.” To get all you people (all 2 of my loyal readers) as excited as I am (and I am exited) I’ve decided to kick it off with a few posts about the FairTax from others. Here goes post 1!
It’s from FairTax.Org. Read more »

I saw a video today wherein a man (Jerry Day) offers a calm (but wrong) argument against the filling out the Census form. I’d like to use this as a starting point for a discussion of the Census. Before I start, I am not going to defend the current Census questions: I have not seen it and have no opinion. This is a discussion about the Constitution, I have see that, and I do have an opinion on that.

Okay, so this post will probably not answer anything. Perhaps it’ll simply ask questions. I don’t know yet.
After reading the End the Fed book, I’ve been thinking about the idea of dramaticly less government intervention. Ron Paul had a really great argument I’ll paraphrase it here. Read more »
